Stitching Silk
September 7, 2018 by Linda A. MillerA friend had given me a packet of silk kimono swatches as a gift from her travels in Japan. I have been using them in my recent stitch meditations. Silk has such a soft pliable touch which makes it a real pleasure to stitch on. Hope you enjoy seeing these pieces.
In addition to the silk, all of these used a variety of materials that I have in my studio including rice paper (that I painted), lace and cottons. Sizes are about 5″ x 7″.
Thank you, Carol, for your gift!
